Adventures in Wonderland
Design collateral for a Wonderland themed cocktail masquerade party to benefit foster youth
Hosted at Beatnik Studios, Sacramento CA, I produced 2'x3' Posters, 11"x17" flyers, 4"x6" mailers, social media teaser graphics, web-banners, and event signage for the benefit of GRAVITY Services Organization, a group assisting teens to graduate healthfully from the foster care system.
Goal and Concept
A visually commanding announcement for a whimsical, funky, and fun evening, where nothing is as it seems except for the generosity felt in one’s heart, and the groove in one's feet.
But in this masquerade, who is who? The rabbit with golden hair and pinafore dress dines intriguingly. The lady with eyes pink and ears long casts a peculiar fancy

Compositionally I wanted to play with duality and the ambiguous divides between feminine, masculine, night and day, land sky and sea, animal and human. I grounded a very active picture with compositional stability through moments of symmetry and visual weight paired with counter-weights. Depicted are homages to the Cheshire Cat, Alice, the White Rabbit, the Queen of Hearts, the caterpillar, and the Mad Hatter.
